I should take my own advice with this post title since we shot this look in the freezing frigid air with a thin layer of sheer fabric being the only thing separating me from the sub-zero temperature, oh, and 3 scarves (albeit 2 of them also sheer.)  Hence the title “layerUP”, but not in the traditional sense of course, that would be too boring, and obvious, and warm.  I was in an all black mood with this outfit, but wanted something unconventional yet ski-town worthy.  The multiple scarves also served as a nice way to tie in the brown of the brown & black boots, with the black of my outfit (remember the brown + black = love post?)  I started layering scarves and as I added & subtracted I found the perfect palette for my liking on this very frosty day.  I tied one around my neck, layered the second over my shoulders & wrapped the whole thing up with a faux fur stole.  I liked the edginess this added to an arguably boring black outfit and the eccentricity of it complemented the hiking boot stilettos I adore so much.  When thinking layers, don’t overlook layers of lovely scarves, but bring a coat!

Jeans- JBrand / Blouse- MinkPink (similar) / Boots- D&G (similar)/ Scarves- Alexander McQueen-skull, gifted- leopard (similar), H&M- faux fur (similar) / Lips- MAC “Ruby Woo”

Now I throw the layerUP challenge your way!  Show me some layered looks you have created for yourself…  I would love to see & share!

Stylishly yours,
